Co pper iodid e nanopa rticles im mobilized onpoly(۴-vinyl pyri dine): a new and green catalyst for click synthesis of ۱,۴-disubstituted-۱,۲,۳-triazoles in water

The m ain method for the synthesis of ۱,۲ ,۳-triazoles is the Huis gen ۱,۳-dipo lar cycloaddition reacti on of azides with al kynes [۱]. This reacti on has become the model for click reacti ons.Since the nanoparticles possess a high surface-to-volum e ratio, which enhances their activity and selectivity, while at the same time maintaining the intrinsic features of a heterogeneous ca alyst [۲]. H erein we w ish to report the appli cability of a new, green and reusab le catalytic system based on Cu(I) n ano particles support ed by p oly(۴-vinylpyridine)(P۴ VPy-CuI) fo r one-pot m ulticompon ent click s ynthesis of ۱,۴-disubstituted-۱H-۱, ۲,۳-triazoles from benzyl halides , sodium azide and terminal alkynes in water (Sche me۱).
