چکیده مقاله:

Among the myria d nano material that ar e used as d rug delivery systems carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) have some properties such as high aspect ratios, nanosized stability, and high su rface areas that make them promis ing for preparation of unique dru g delivery system. How ever, functionalized CN Ts projected as a prom ising carrie r for many drugs like anticancer a gents because of their low citotoxicity and good drug delivery performances. It was prove d that muco us adhesive polymer (e.g. PEG and PAA, …) among th e many kind of polymers is succes sful approa ch to drug delivery syste m.Metho trexate is an anticance r drug belon ging to the category of dihydrofolic acid redu ctase inhibitor used in the treatment of certa in neoplastic diseases, severe pso riasis, and adult rheumatoid arthritis. It is used generally in higher do ses for canc er treatment than requir ed for other disorders and is often administered intravenously or intramu scularly. Th e drug’s utility is limited due to its high systemic toxicity[۱-۴].Hence, in this w ork, we syn thesis a new carrier s ystem consist of PAA/ PEG/CNT. Then, Metho trexate was loaded on PAA/PEG/C NT, The result show th at the new carrier is suitable and safe for drug delivery res pect to CNT, CNT-COO H and CNT /PAA.
