Kinetic study of Pb۲+ a dsorption on the polypyrole/ HMS nano composite

Water pollution by heavy metals remains an important environmental issue asso ciated negatively with the health and ecosystem [۱] and removal of the m from aqu eous streams is an imp ortant problem in the wast e water treatment plants . Various treatment pro cesses have been intro duced for the removal of metal io ns [۲]. Current treat ment processes include precipitation, oxidation /reduction, membrane f iltration/ osmosis, ion exchange an d adsorption. In this pa per a new na nocomposite including polypyrole conductive polyme r supported on hexagonal mesopor ous silicate ( HMS) was synthesized. The kinetic study of ad sorption of Pb cations o n the composite was investigated.
