چکیده مقاله:

Biodegra dable poly mers have re cently attracted much public and industrial interest because of the in creasing wa ste disposal problem. B esides solutions such as incineration , recycling or re-use, biodegradable polymers can be entirely con verted by microbial activity in a biologica lly active e nvironment to biomass and biological by-products. Nowada ys, the use of biodegradable polym ers as repla cement of commoditie s for large scale applica tions is quite small, as their cost is still not competitive . One economically an d ecologic ally attracti ve approach to overcom e these lim tations is to incorporate natural polymers into biodegradable polymers to obtain environmentally friendly composite materials c alled biocom posites, with the advantage of b eing comple tely biodeg radable. Several articl es in the literature were devoted to the study of the therm al decomposition of bio mass derive d materials, and mixtures of vinyl polymers a nd lignocellulosic materials. The analysis of the thermal behavior of mixtures of biodegr adable/synth etic polyme rs is important not only from the recycling but also fro m the processing point of view. The understanding of th eir thermal stability an d degradation has importance in processing a nd recycling. The mai n goal of this paper is to evaluate the effect CMC on th e PVA/S b lends therm al degradation or stud y of thermal degradation of PVA /S/CMC blends. Ther mal analysis of the mix tures was performed by TG/DTG under dynamic conditions. The calculation of apparent activation energies w as based on the application the k inetic models proposed by the Van Krevelen, Broido, an d Ozawa.
