Viscosities of Binary Mixtures of N, N -Dimethylacetamide with homologe series of ۲- Alkanols

This paper is part of our general work concerning the study of some physical and physicochemical properties of binary liquid mixtures in order to gain information about molecular interactions between the molecules in these systems [۱-۳]. It is wellknown that the knowledge of the dependence of dynamic viscosity on both temperature and compositionOf the system is needed for many engineering processes and the study of fluid phenomena [۴]. In the present study the viscosities of binary mixtures of N,N- dimethylacetamide with ۲-prop-anol, ۲-butanol, ۲-pentanol,۲-hexanol and ۲-heptanol, over the entire composition range were measured at ۲۹۸.۱۵ K and ambient pressure. From the experimental data, viscosity deviations ǻȘ calculated. The results have been fitted to the Redlich-Kister equation to determine the coefficients and estimate the standard error.
