Introducing th e Shannon – Fukui Index as a Measure of Stability in Nucleic Acida

Findin g new qua ntities that c an be a criterion of m olecule stability is an i mportant iss ue in quant um calculations. Although, numerou s quantitie such as energy - polarizability - chemical potential have bee n introduced for this purpose, no criterion has been found that can do this in all co mpounds with various fu nctional gr oups. The aim of this stu dy is to evaluate a new index obtained from the combination of shanno n and fukui that can best do this in b iological organic system s. In this research, st ability of Nucleic Acids including Thymine, Cytozine, U racil, Adenine and Gua nine is examined using the new shan non-fukui i ndex
