The idea of thinking in architectural design has long been one of the hallmarks of this process. Onthe other hand, according to the new definitions of emotional intelligence in the field ofpsychology, it can be concluded that if the parameters of this phenomenon are used positively andeffectively, it is possible to promote the architectural design process among architecture students.Thus, identifying the related areas between emotional intelligence and interactive thinking in thearchitectural design process can play a significant role in promoting the creativity of futurearchitects. For this purpose, the present study investigates the mutual relationship betweenemotional intelligence and interactive thinking in order to promote creativity in the architecturaldesign process. To this end, after identifying the necessary infrastructures to develop either of thesetwo phenomena, a mutual relationship between these two phenomena is discussed. It should benoted that the present study is descriptive and analytical and the evaluation is done through aquestionnaire among some students of architecture at Damavand University. The results indicatethat there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence parameters and interactivethinking prerequisites for developing creative skills in architectural design process.
