Plasmonic – Dielectric Layers, Realizing Localized Surface Plasmon Polaritons

In this work, plasmonic resonance excitement of plasmonic – photonic hybrid layers is numerically investigated introducing Sio۲ – Au periodic bulk layers placed on the surface of silicon photonic crystal nanocavity substrate. Confinement of optical filed in the interface of dielectric – metal compound at the right and left end leads to the transmission of optical filed to the upper layers in the hybrid structure. FDTD method has been applied to simulate the plasmonic characteristics of the designed system.
