Wideband Arc-Shaped Blade Antenna

This paper proposes the design and fabrication of a monopole blade antenna operating in a wide frequency band of operation. This antennacan be used in airborne applications owing to its several advantages such as broadband frequency response, lightweight, and compact size that satisfies aerodynamic requirements. The antenna structure is consists of an arc-shaped blade placed over a rectangular ground plate.The shape of the blade has improved impedance bandwidth to covers the multi-special bands like GSM, LTE, WMAX, IFF. The antennaworks with VSWR< 2.5 in the operating frequency range of 0.8 GHz to 16.5 GHz without using any matching network. The antenna issimulated by ANSYS HFSS software, and the results are validated by measurement results
