چکیده مقاله:

Job satisfaction, especially among nurses, is considered as a critical challenge for health care organizations. This factor plays a key role in improvement of organization’s productivity and health of the workforce. This study was a descriptive-correlational study conducted among 354 nurses in Shiraz. They were selected through multistage cluster sampling method, among which questionnaire of 261 individuals was analyzable. To collect data, Warr, Cook, and Wall Questionnaire (1979) having 15 items with Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.92, Mc Sherry, Draper and Kendrick Spiritual Care Rating Scale (2002) having 17 items with alpha coefficient Cronbach of 0.87, Hingley and Cooper Job Stress Scale (1986) having 24 items with Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.91, Mowday, Steers, and Porter Organizational Commitment Scale (1979) having 15 items with Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.87 were used. In this study, in addition to using descriptive statistics and standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, simultaneous regression analysis, independent t-test and multivariate analysis of variance were used to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that spirituality (r = 0.64), job stress (r = 0.52), and organizational commitment (r = 0.72) had a significant relationship with job satisfaction. The results showed that variables above were able to predict job satisfaction.
