چکیده مقاله:

One of the most important factors for applying of pressurized irrigation systems is water quality. So, it is essential to study feasibility of pressurized irrigation systems based on water quality, prior to their performance. It also helps to prevent energy, investment and resources losses. In the present study, the possibility of performance of pressurized irrigation system (sprinkler and drip irrigation system) using geographic information systems (GIS) and its analytical functions was investigated based on groundwater quality in the Tehran province. Examination of the maps and results obtained in this study showed that in most of the study area in terms of pH there is a limit for drip irrigation due to groundwater quality and a small part of the study area is unrestricted. It also has moderate and severe limitations in terms of TDS and EC and most of the study area and have serious limitations for drip irrigation. In drip irrigation methods, problems such as sedimentation due to water salinity are solved to some extent by using a variety of drippers with flexible holes or with high discharge. Also, by controlling the irrigation frequency and the amount of irrigation depth, water salinity can be managed. Also, according to the results related to HCO۳, Cl and Na, more than half of the study area has severe limitations in terms of Na and Cl for sprinkler irrigation. Therefore, due to the critical situation in the region, if the current operation process continues, in order to maintain the aquifer and prevent poor quality, optimal management should replace the current management.
