چکیده طرح پژوهشی:
The objective of this study was determination the relation between the best seed vigor test in the laboratory and performance of alfalfa seedling in field. The study was done for two stages on four seed cultivars of alfalfa including Bami, Gharayonjeh, Hamedani, and Yazdi. In the first stage standard germination, germination in low tempertaure(5c), speed of germination and accelerated againg ,electrical conductivity and salt stress tests were conducted in randomized complete design (RCD) with four replications. In the second stage the experiment was carried out in the field for each other of seed cultivars in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications. The results showed that significant difference ( 0.01) were observed among cultivars for percentage and speed establishment and seed vigor tests .Also there were negative significant correlation coefficient between electrical conductivity test with percentage establishment (r= -0.65 0.01) and with speed establishment (r= - 0.80 p 0.01). Correlation coefficient for speed and percentage emergence was significant and posetive (r=0.91 p 0.01). Stepwise method showed that the regression modl (y=165.23- C 0.15 x) was the best model for predication speed of seedling emergene. In this model x (dependent variable) is the value electrical conductivity and y (independent variable ) is speed of emergence.
