The effects of casteration on average daily gain (ADG) and carcass compositions of one_humped camel have been studied in extensive productive systems. This experiment was conducted for 18 of 6 months old one_humped camels male. Nine of these were randomly casterated by surgery. The ADG of them were determin in six month intervals until 3 years. In each interval the ADG of casterated and intact animals were not differ signifiacantly. Average live weight in the beginning of the experiment for two groups was 97.25:t 18.5 Kg. and in the end of experiment it was 299.67:t 12.5 Kg. and were not differ signifiacantly. Average live weight of these two groups in the end of experiment were 301.67+8.02. Kg and 297.65:t 8.1 Kg for casterated and intact groups. At the end of the experiment 12 of these camels (six casterated & six intact) were killed . The weight of abdominal fat and hump which were contained only fat were significantly greater in casterated male ( P<0.05 , P<0.01) respectively, but the fat that separated from carcasses was not differ in two groups. The lean meat of these two groups had the same weights .
