بررسی مطالعه دوام ایمنی واکسن تخفیف حدت یافته آبله گوسفندی تولید موسسه تحقیقات واکسن و سرم سازی رازی

Sheep pox and goat pox are the most important kind of pox with high mortality in young animals. Inactivated and lived attenuated vaccines are used commonly in countries which sheep pox is endemic in. Sheep pox is endemic in Iran, abortion and mortality of lambs made high costs in live stock. Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute have being produced lived attenuated sheep pox vaccine since over 40 years ago. In this study, protection against wild strain of sheep pox virus and humeral immunity of lived attenuated sheep pox vaccine manufactured by RVSRI was investigated. This experimental study was done in a 15 months monitoring in quality control department of RVSRI. For assaying immunity of lived attenuated sheep pox vaccine manufactured by RVSRI, efficacy test and neutralization Index was carried in 21 days, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 months after vaccination. To sum up, as can be seen, according to result of challenging and VN tests, it seems duration of immunity of lived attenuated vaccine manufactured by RVSRI is approximately 1 year.
