چکیده مقاله:

In recent years, the container shipping industry has been through a challenging phase due to the continuing imbalance between trade and international fleet supply capacity and its vital and increasing role in the world trade system. On the other hand, collaboration between port terminals and shipping companies can lead to cost savings and help to achieve a sustainable supply chain. This research is an attempt to present an efficient multi objective mathematical model and efficiently implement the Augmented Epsilon Constraint (AEC) method to generate optimal Pareto solutions for the berth allocation problem with regard to greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, we consider a berth allocation problem in container terminals in which the assignment of vessels to berths is limited by water depth and time windows condition. Finally, the computational results show that the conscious selection of the berth allocation policies and optimization of the parameters affecting on the vessels fuel consumption such as their arrival time and optimal adjustment of the speed can lead to operational efficiency of available resources as well as reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (in sailing and mooring periods) at container terminals.
