چکیده مقاله:

Three species including Capoeta buhsei, Oxynoemacheilus bergianus andParacobitis malapterus inhabit in the Kordan River. In spite of the decrease inpopulation sizes of these species due to increasing the exploitation of Kordan Riverin recent years, there is little information about their biology is available. Hence, thisstudy was conducted to study length-weight relationship and condition factor of fishassemblage of Kordan River (Namak Lake basin). In this study a total of 132 C.buhsei, with mean length and weight of 14.84 cm 32.99 gr, 11 O. bergianus withmean length and weight of 5.53 cm and 1.74 gr and 35 P. malapterus with meanlength and weight of 6.94 and 3.65 gr, respectively were examined. The resultsrevealed that there is a significant relationship between the length and weight of threestudied species (P<0.001). The length-weight relationships for C. buhsei, O.bergianus, and P. malapterura were W= 0.01 L 2.87 P, W= 0.01 L 2.86 and W = 0.01 L 2.92respectively. The liner relationships for Capoeta, Oxynoemacheilus, and Paracobitis, were Log W= -1.93+2.87 Log L, Log W= -1.97 + 2.86 Log L, and Log W= -2.13 +2.92 Log L, respectively. Also, the mean condition factor of C. buhsei, O. bergianus, and P. malapterura were 0.86, 0.87, and 0.65, respectively. The reason for the lownumber of Oxyneomacheilus and Paracobitis specimens, was the fact that themajority of the specimens were small with the weights less than 0.1 gr, which couldnot be weighted in the field with higher accuracy, and therefore they were excludedfrom the analysis.
