An overview Diplomatic Law in Japan and Korea

Introduction to the discussion✒️📑
Japanese colonization of Korea began between
1910 and 1945, following the annexation of Korea (the country) as part of the Japanese Empire. The Chosan Kingdom was brought into Japan's sphere of influence by the 1876 Japan-Korea Treaty and a complex alliance of the Meiji period. Military and commercial authorities began the process of integrating the politics and economy of the Korean Peninsula with Japan. The Empire of Korea (proclaimed name in 1897) became a Japanese protectorate with the 1905 Japan-Korea Treaty. After that, Japan ruled the country indirectly through Japanese generals residing in Korea.
Then, in the 191
0 Japan-Korea Treaty, without the consent of the former Korean emperor, Gojong, his son Sunjong's viceroy (the second and last Korean emperor), officially annexed Korea. Japan-ruled Korea was governed by the Commander-in-Chief of Korea based in Kiju (present-day Seoul).

This treaty stipulated that Korea should act under the direction of a general residing in Japan. The effect of the provisions of this treaty was that the administration of internal affairs was handed over to Japan.
The Korean Empire had become a Japanese protectorate under the terms of the previous Yulsa Treaty of 1905, an
d thus had lost the right to conduct diplomatic exchanges with other countries. The Korean Emperor Gojong secretly sent an envoy to the Hague Conference on World Peace to protest Japan's actions. In retaliation, on July 18, 1907, Japan forced Emperor Gojong to abdicate in favor of his son Sunjong.6 days later, a new agreement was imposed on the Korean government.
The provisions of this new treaty give the Resident General of Japan the right to appoint and dismiss high-ranking officials (Article 4) and specify that all high-ranking officials appointed to the Korean government must be licensed. ,Japanese (Article 5).This put the internal government of Korea completely under Japanese control. The unpublished part of the treaty also placed the Korean military under Japanese leadership and gave them judicial and police powers. The Japan–Korea Treaty of 1910 (Japa
n–Korea Treaty of 1910), also known as the Japan–Korea Annexation Treaty, was signed by representatives of the Empire of Japan and the Empire of Korea on August 22, 1910. In this treaty, it followed the 1905 Japan-Korea Treaty, which made Korea a Japanese protectorate, and the 1907 Japan-Korea Treaty, which deprived Korea of internal affairs.
Summary of exercises and achievements✒️🗒️⚖️
During the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Second World War, the foundations of Japan's influence in Korea weakened. At the beginning of the war, when Shanghai was captured by Japan, the Korean Provisional Government fled from there. During the Second World War, the American, Chinese and British governments promised independence to the Korean people.Korean independence forces spread throughout China and declared war on Japan in 1942.These f
orces cooperated with the Allied forces in Korea and continued to fight until the surrender of Japan in 1945.
The di
vision of Korea into North and South Korea originated from the victory of the Allies in World War II in 1945 and the end of 35 years of Japanese domination over Korea. In a plan that was overwhelmingly opposed by the Koreans, the United States and the Soviet Union agreed to temporarily take over the country from the 38-degree orbit. The purpose of the trusteeship plan was to help establish a provisional Korean government;.With the support of the United Nations forces led by the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) with the support of China and the military assistance of the Soviet Union, it began on June 25, 1950 with the arrival of the forces under the command of the communist government of Kim Il Sung in the southern part,And on July 27, 1953, with the cease-fire agreement, the hostilities ended. This war was the result of the division of Korea after World War II.The cessation of hostilities negotiations continued and finally, on July 27, 1953, the armistice of the Korean War was signed. It should be mentioned that a peace treaty was never signed between these two countries and the

two countries are still at war
