چکیده مقاله:

Back ground and Aim:today There are various ways to dispose municipal waste and waste can be used to generate energy. In the combustion method, solid biomass resources such as forestry, agricultural waste, food industry waste and municipal solid waste are directly burned in specific boilers and heat is used to generate electricity. The most important technology for power generation in this group is waste incinerators. incinerator is the oxidation process of combustible waste materials that produce heat, water vapor, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen. Since Bandar Abbas is a strategic city and significant in terms of waste generation, this study aims to estimate the amount of electricity generated from waste in the city. method:This is a descriptive-analytical study. Using the Excel program, the dry weight of each element was first obtained by multiplying the percentages of carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, sulfur and oxygen in the residual dry weight and divided by 100. We then calculated the weight percent of the available elements and estimated the thermal value and then the amount of electricity generated by the Dolong formula 145 C + 610 H-O / 8 + 40S + 10N .results:The thermal value of waste in the year 2017 was 337 tonnes, with the combustible fraction assuming 100% separated from other waste parts equal to 14.2 MW, and if a 62 tonne-day waste-incineration system is used and the system has a 30% efficiency, the amount of electricity generation will be 4.26 MW. conclusions:Given that the waste generation process in the city is upward, this method can generate electricity equivalent to a 4.26 MW power plant, which is Sanitary and economically important and a new development in waste management in the city.
