Background and Aim : Hypertensive disorder is one of the morbidity and mortality factors that occurs in5% of pregnancies. One of the factors creating the preeclampsia, improper adjustment of active enzymeCyp27B1 in pairs which caused by vitamin D deficiency. This study aimed to examine the relationshipbetween the level of vitamin D with risk of preeclampsia in pregnant womenMethods : This case-control study was performed on 140 pregnant women referred to alzahra hospital,Qom University from 2016 to 2017, consists of 70 patients with severe preeclampsia and 70 healthypregnant women (from the viewpoint of preeclampsia), blood samples from the viewpoint of vitamin Dwith the Immunoassay method. An analysis of the statistics with SPSS software version; T test and Chisquare testResults : based on the average of the serum vitamin D test in preeclampsia on 13.77ng/ml with SD82/6versus 16/73 ng/ml with SD53/8in control Group. P < 0.05 was considered significant statistically.Conclusion : In the present study the obvious deficiency of vitamin D in mothers with preeclampsia seensevere that statistically enough to administer vitamin D for prevention of preeclampsia
