چکیده مقاله:

Phlebotominae is one of the six subfamilies of Psychodidae, with more than 800 species described worldwide. Sandflies are considered as important vectors of leishmaniasis. Sandflies of the subgenus Adlerius ( Euphlebotomus ) belonging to genus Phlebotomus are known as primary vectors of zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis (ZVL) in Iran. Sandflies were collected using sticky paper traps from outdoors. The sandflies were mounted and identified. Also, morphological characters were measured. While studying the Phlebotominae of Baluchistan region near the border of West Pakistan I found two new species of Euphlebotomus. It is noteworthy that up to present no record of these two sandflies species from Baluchistan were available. I captured the Adlerius species from different rural regions and various habitats. I report two new species (records) for the fauna of Iran: P. kabulensis and P. salangensis. They have been collected from the South-East of the country, in the province of Sistan-Baluchistan Province.
