چکیده مقاله:

Lying, whether considered bad or a sign of cognitive development is part of social skill of human. From early ages, it emerges in different types. So many psychological, and even societal, reasons have been proposed, but it is still blurred to draw conclusion what tempted a child to lie. By delving into available literature, it seems to be true that what makes the path easier to being to lie is theory of mind (ToM), a mental ability, which let human children go beyond making only black and white or linear nexus between causes and their effects. It, actually, equips human child with reasoning ability, the more children being exposed to ToM training, the more they get ready to begin to lie. Lying is considered as part of social life of children; it is addressed as an important social skill, whether presumably considered positive or negative attribute. Theory of mind, ToM, is the ability of reasoning about mental states; it is considered as a socio-cognitive ability, since the notion of behavior or acting in accordance with such reasoningability is concerned.
