Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression. Results : The results showed that there was a negative significant relationship between positive cognitive emotion regulation strategies with alexithymia (p < 0.01) and total score of mindfulness with alexithymia (p <0.01). there was a positive and significant relationship between negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies and alexithymia (p <0.05). also multiple regression results showed that % 38 of variance of alexithymia in female students with negative affect was predicted by cognitive emotion regulation and mindfulness adjustment. Conclusion : The results indicated that cognitive emotion regulation and mindfulness has a important role in alexithymia of female students with negative affect.
