چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim : Children with autism spectrum disorder have difficulty in emotion regulation. In this study, an electronic story-telling program is proposed to help these children in practicing their emotion regulation skills. Methods : The effectiveness of this intervention was evaluated by a semi- experimental study, using pretest-posttest and a control group. 10 students in the experimental group participated in this program, and the control group stayed in the waiting list. Sheilds & Cicchetti Emotion Relation Checklist (1998) was used to measure emotion regulation skills in the two groups. The obtained data were analyzed using Analysis of CovarianceResults : The findings showed significant differences (p<0/5) between the experimental and the control group in emotion regulationConclusion : In the end, using electronic story telling program for improving emotion management and social skills was discussed. Further discussions as well as suggestions for future research are presented.
