Entrepreneurship and Rural Development: Research Based on Grounded Theory

Rural tourism is a form of tourism that is located in rural areas. This phenomenon is leading to ruralsustainable development. The aim of this research is to show the process of sustainable development.In this study seeks to answer this question: How rural sustainable development process takes shape inIran For this purpose, the qualitative research method, Grounded Theory is used. Depth interviewswith 20 rural tourism entrepreneurs were conducted. The pattern obtained from this study indicatesthat the major themes that lead to introduce sustainable rural development is tendency toentrepreneurial activities. If local people are influenced by environmental and intervening conditionsto run an entrepreneurial business, the result is endogenous sustainable development.
