چکیده مقاله:

One of the most important problems in the Artemia culture on the terrestrial fertilized ponds especially on the large aquaculture farms or on the Artemia farms surrounded by agriculture lands is the brackish water leakage to the suburb lands or on the deeper layer of around farms and salt pollution of underground waters. The use of Artemia culture ponds covered with plastic insulated layer can cause to inhibit brackish water leakage and ionic exchange between salty water and surrounded lands and deeper layers. Also, it save the salty water need to Artemia culture and prevent the ecological problems in surrounded areas. The production rate of unicellular algae, bioflac and consequently Artemia biomass is usually higher than terrestrial ponds, in spite of inhibition ionic exchange of ponds water with bed soil. Its appearance is due to the static state of water on the ponds, although the water exchange and existence of salty water with culture system is not necessary. It shows that, in spite of higher investment need to construct plastic insulated ponds, The Artemia production on these ponds have more biomass production and less ecological problem than in terrestrial ponds.
