چکیده مقاله:
Background: Due to excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability of Chitosan, have been used extensively in pharmaceutical application and radiopharmaceutical in nuclear medicine. so the aim of study was evaluate biodistribution of Chitosan nanoparticle and microparticle labeled with 99mTc.Methods: In this Experimental study synthesized Chitosan nanoparticle and microparticle and then were used DLS and SEM. for size distribution and morphology of particle. After radiolabeling with 99mTc, labeling efficiency and stability was performed. Finally biodistribution study in Balb/c mice in 15,30,60, and 120 min after injection of 200 μCi of radiolabel of chitosan complex with 99mTc were performed Results: Results showed that the nanoparicle and microparticle have spherical shape and with average size 100±50nm and 35±10μm respectively. The labeling efficiency of nano and microparticle of chitosan with 99mTc was 93±2%, 95±4% and stability obtained 98±2%. Biodistribution study showed high accumulation of Chitosan nanoparticle in liver and high accumulation of Chitosan microparticle in lung. Conclusion: The results showed that the 99mTc-Chitosan nano and microparticles may be considered as a suitable radiopharmaceutical for liver and lung scintigraphy in nuclear medicine that suggest more investigations for final conclusion
