Background and Objective: Today, probiotic consumption has been proven in some infectious diseases of children, but in some cases it should be taken with caution. The purpose of this study is to investigate if probiotic use in infectious diseases of children, especially diarrhea, should be used with caution and may not be useful. Methods and Materials: In the infectious clinic of children who were referred for diarrhea and treated with probiotics, they were fallow up and 48 to 72 hours after the parents were asked how they were used and how satisfied they were with them (about the frequency of bowel movements and the duration of the course Diarrhea). Results: In our research 79 infant &child with diarrhea referred to pediatric infectious clinic use pedilact & kidilact and 57 child with diarrhea that not use probiotic after 48 -72 hours follow up and visited.Probiotic no effective in decreased duration of diarrhea in breast feeding infants. But effective (decreased duration and number of stool passing) in patients with cow’s milk feeding and formula feeding. In febrile infants less effective probiotic for diarrhea. In children> 4 years old with no FTT use of probiotic was effective. Conclusion: In patients with Bad condition and breast feeding infants and FTT children and febrile infants the use of probiotic is better not use.
