چکیده مقاله:
Background and Objective: Nano-technology is studing matter in the range of 1-100 nanometer. In this study silver nano-particles were green synthesized by Mentha aquatic L extract and antibacterial activity of Mentha aquatic L extract and synthesized silver nano-particles were investigated. Materials and Methods:M.aquatic L extracts in various densities were prepared to use in the experiment of determining MIC and Disc diffusion.Micro-organisms(Klebsiella,Escherichia Coli)were prepared by lyophilized, sterile tubes were selected and then were sterilized on Muller Hinton Broth medium and microbial suspension as well as various density extracts were added and were placed in incubator for 24 hours in 37 ᵒC and tubes were compared after this time.MIC and MBC were determined. The plates on densities of 99.9% number of colonies were incubated and positive and negative control were considered, too. Findings:The effect of aqueous extracts and green synthesized M.aquatic L on E.coli using microdilution method, the anti-microbial effect of silver nano-particles green synthesis of plant extract was improved and MIC was measured 75 mg/ml which is similar in well and the most mean diameter of non-growth halo regarding 3 repetition was 8.33mm. Aqueous extract activity was better on Klebsiells bacteria. MBC was150 mg/m and the most mean diameter of non-growth halo was 9 mm. Conclusion: M.aquatic L extract and silver nanoparticles synthesized from extract of this plant was reported to have antimicrobial effect on high density. Correct forming of nanoparticles with uniform distribution was proved which shows the effect of M.aquatic L extract as reducing agent for replacing samples and chemical products.
