Evaluation of user mobility influence on the performance of video delivery services

Video services are among the most utilized services by the users. The delivery of the video services becomes more challenging for the service providers particularly when theusers are mobile and change their position. This work analyzes the quality of video delivery for the mobile users in long term evolution (LTE) networks with and withoutcore involvement. The OMNeT++ simulator tool is used to design and implement four different scenarios and measure the corresponding effects of mobility on the video quality delivered to the user equipment in terms of different network metrics. The results help in enhancement of the video services by the developers and providers as well.
