Movement Disordes Emergency

Many acute potentially life-threatening medical conditions have hyperkinetic or hypokinetic movement disorders as their hallmark. Emergent movement disorders are which develope over hours or several days and morbidity and mortality can result from failure to appropriatelydiagnose and manage the patient. Various movement disorders includ acute parkinsonism, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, respiratory compromise in MSA, dystonic storm, oculogyric crisis and hemiballism, parkinson hyperpyrexia syndrome and psychosis. I will explainthese topics in this presentation.
