Analysis and planning of ecotourism development with emphasis on desertification in the regionsCoastal Desert in Iran(Sirik and Minab Hormozgan)

Desertification is the destruction of land in arid, semi-arid to arid wetlands due to the various effects of the devastating effects of the human factor. To date, many studies have been conducted in and out of the country to evaluate and prepare desertification maps, which has led to the development of many regional models. In order to present a regional model and quantitatively assess the current state of desertification, an area of 3985 hectares in the Sirik and Minab (Hormozgan) area - coastal deserts - was considered. In this study, based on the combination of information on topographic maps, geology, aerial photos and field visits, the study area was divided into four facies, each geomorphological facies being considered as the main unit of assessment of the current desertification status. Due to the analysis and integration of the IMDPA method, which is the newest and most advanced model of desertification in the country, it was attempted to select the criteria and indicators affecting desertification and form a regional desertification model with Consider the numerical value of each indicator in each work unit and then the whole area. Finally, the current situation of desertification intensity in the area was estimated with four criteria: low, medium, severe and very severe, with four criteria: climate, vegetation, soil quality, wind erosion and 4 indices.
