Geomechanics plays significant role in decisions regarding all phases of exploration and production of oil and gas. Specifically, geomechanics influences prospect appraisal, field development, and primary, secondary, and tertiary production activities. In the present article, the production rate and deformation of porous media are determined through the frameworks in different scales. The finite element method is combined with Multiscale Multiphysic Mixed Geomechanical Model (M3GM) to predict the production rate of oil. However, applications of petroleum reservoirs through gas or water injection in the depleted reservoir are in concern. First porous media deformation in a multiscale framework is described. Then the Multiscale Mixed Multiphysic Geotechnical Model with Surrounding Rock (M3GMSR) is presented, which considers the influence of the surrounding strata through virtual springs. At the end, the effect of oil production in M3GMSR has been considered.
