Explain the risk factors for obesity and overweight in the middle-aged population of Jovein

The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of obesity and weight gain in 30 to 59 year-old people living in Jovein city in the years 2016-17. Material and Methods: A descriptive-cross sectional study was conducted in the population of 30-59 years old in Jovein. Multi-stage sampling and data were collected by completing the integrated care plan for middle aged health. Data analysis was performed using Chi-square and independent t-test in SPSS21 software.Findings: The total number of samples was 430 persons, 12.8% were male and female. In this study, the prevalence of overweight, 41.4% and 27.9%, and abdominal cases was estimated to be 56.5%, the prevalence of related risk factors was 79.1%, adequate immobility, Intake of insufficient fruits and vegetables (less than 2 percent of the fruit and less than 3 percent vegetable daily) (57.4 percent), and vegetable (87 percent), fast food consumption (14.7 percent), and carbonated beverages (23 percent). Also, there was a significant relationship between body mass index, There was a significant statistical relationship.Conclusion: Considering the prevalence of obesity and weight in the studied population, the need to use educational methods for familiarizing people, especially women with weight control issues, nutrition improvement programs, and enhancement of physical activity seems necessary.
