چکیده مقاله:

Magnetic properties can provide important information about material composition, condition and structure. Multiple correlations are based on those properties being a valuable tool for quality assurance and process control in production. The measurement of magnetic properties refers to international standards and the measurement values are traceable to national reference standards.Important industrial applications are to proof the non-magnetic condition of material and components for use in magnetic sensitive environment like particle acceleration, magnetic resonance imaging, aero-space instrumentation and directional oil drilling.Composition, structure, grain size and dispersion, as well as internal tensions of sintered powder metals can be correlated to coercive field strength and saturation magnetization.Material anisotropy, internal tensions after cutting and bending of sheet metal components, the core loss of generators and electrical drives and the response time of an electromagnetic valve can be characterized by values along the magnetic hysteresis.Specific instrumentation for precise determination of those parameters under industrial environmental conditions, for various geometries, without the necessity to produce samples of specific shape and size, are the backbone of non-destructive testing based on magnetic properties.
