The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Job Satisfaction of Behvarzans in Khuzestan Province in 2016

Introduction: Since occupation is the main part of employee s life, it is also the main source of emotions and human emotions. On the other hand, job satisfaction is a kind of emotional attitude towards occupation. Therefore, the present study was aimed at investigating the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. And implemented.Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of yorazzans working in Khuzestan province in 1395 who were enrolled in a census. The instrument for collecting data was the standard questionnaire for emotional intelligence and job satisfaction which was completed. Data were analyzed by SPSS20 software using Pearson correlation test and independent t-test.Results: Two hundred and forty women with a mean age of 39.34 - 7/54 were enrolled. The most frequent cases were women (158) (56.4%) and married women were 236 (83.3%). The education of the most educated students was 230 (82.1%) and the majority of the participants in the village study were 144 (51.4%). The results of Pearson correlation test showed that there was a significant correlation between emotional evaluation in themselves and others (r = 0.011, P = 0.05), emotion regulation (r = 0.25, P <0.001), interest in emotions in problem solving (r = -0.17, P = 0.004), emotional perception and understanding (r = 0.19, P <0.001) and total emotional intelligence (r = 0.3, P <0.001) with direct job satisfaction were significantly correlated.Conclusion: The results of this study showed that emotional intelligence of Behvarzans is high but their level of satisfaction is low and there is a direct and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction of Behvarzans.
