The study of Natural Clinoptilolite Phase Change under Various Conditions

Natural clinoptilolite of North West of Iran, Miyaneh, was used as the initial source. To eliminate some parts of impurities and increase the ratio of Si/Al, acid treatment of powdered sample was used with 2.5M hydrochloric acid. The sample was carried out under hydrothermal conditions and the effect of aging time up to 70 hours, hydrothermal phase change temperature and time in the range of 105-160°C and 30-72 hours respectively, and 1-11M sodium hydroxide concentration on type of obtained phase was examined. The results showed negative effect of existing aging time phase, and rise in hydrothermal time and temperature in the area mentioned above. In various concentrations of sodium hydroxide, different phases of zeolites were formed.
