چکیده مقاله:
Reading comprehension is one of the major challenges learners face during the process of learning a language. Oneway to alley the burden is to assist students enjoy and cooperative with other students during the process of reading tocomprehend the text. This could be achieved through share reading strategy.The purpose of this study was to explore how much shared reading influenced students reading comprehension ability.The participants were 50 fourth graders the researchers and the teacher chose suitable books, designed the teachingcontents, and tried to combine the teaching of reading comprehension strategies into the teaching processes in theprogram. The study lasted for five weeks and the students have two periods (about eighty minutes) of reading classesfor the shared reading programs. Reading comprehension assessments was used before and after the program. Thequantitative data showed that all the posttest were higher than the pretests. It meant that the shared-book readingprogram could effectively increase fourth graders reading comprehension.
