چکیده مقاله:
Background: War is one of the most serious health threats in theworld. War is used against peace, which is like the contradictionbetween disease and health in which the preservation andexpansion of human life are considered. There are meaningfuldifferences between war and disease. Despite of epidemiologicalinvestigations of the health effects of war, we know little on thepeace/war epidemiology and its relevance. Methods: This study was a scoping review of the availableevidence on the peace and war epidemiology. Data synthesis wasdone by group-discussions, and according to experts’ opinions. Results and conclusion: The similarity between disease and waris strong enough to suggest that epidemiology is a scientificspecimen that can help consolidate and advance the view andresearch on peace and war. The epidemiological model couldprovide a comprehensive definition that includes the broaddimensions of peace and war. If we, as the epidemiology states, attribute relative relativism to peace and war, as we consider forhealth and disease, we can point them out as Arctic extremists. As mentioned, the modern concept of public health, new publichealth, has great potential for creating healthy and less aggressivecommunities. Improving health, environmental health, andhealthcare management based on advanced epidemiologicapproaches have become key areas for new health and publichealth sciences.
