Introduction & Aim: Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women. At the onsetof the development of breast tumors, a combination of internal and external factors is involved, including rare elements. The aim of this study was to determine the level of minerals and rareelements in patients with breast cancer. Methods: This systematic review took place by searching the databases Magiran, SID, Googlescholar, Pubmed, Amedeo and elmnet with keywords Breast cancer, minerals, selenium, zinc, copper, folate and vitamin D during 2000 to 2018. In this study, descriptive, analytical and casecontrolarticles have been used. Results: The results of various studies showed that there was a significant difference betweenthe mean of copper, selenium, folate and vitamin D in the group of patients with breast cancerand control subjects. Also, with these age groups, these minerals increased in these patients. There was a controversy between the mean on the patients and the control group. In thesestudies, generally, as a case control, a healthy group was also evaluated. The concentration ofthese minerals was measured using optical methods. Conclusions: Based on the results, it can be suggested that changes in trace elements in serumlevels in breast cancer patients are a prognosis for diagnosis and treatment of this disease.Further studies on these elements and other important elements such as iron are also proposed.
