Hydrogen is a chemical compound widely used in refinery processes such as cracking of hydrocarbons, hydrogenation. Natural gas is the main source of hydrogen production worldwide. Trying to find a green and environmentally friendly fuels, causing researchers to fossil fuels into hydrogen and its use as a fuel with improved combustion and is environmentally friendly. One of the methods used to produce hydrogen, dimethyl ether autothermal reforming process. Because of the importance of this process in the industry, operating parameters affecting it seems necessary. In this paper, an intelligent method to produce hydrogen via autothermal reforming process of demethyl ether as a function of the oxygen-to-carbon ratio (0–2.80), steam-to-carbon ratio (0.25–4), temperature (200–600◦C) has been modeled. Multilayer perceptron network method is used. The results showed that the highest rate of conversion of demethyl ether to hydrogen at 300 °C for temperature and 0.25 of the steam-to-carbon ratio (S/C) and the oxygen-to-carbon ratio(O/C) is 0, in terms of the efficiency of hydrogen production is 72.65.
