چکیده مقاله:

In this study pyrolysis of cellulose and its co-pyrolysis with heavy paraffin were investigated. The products were in three phases liquid (bio-oil), solid (char) and gas (permanent gases). The liquid product was analyzed by GC-MASS apparatus and the identified chemical components were grouped into ten pseudo-components and the bulk yields of them were calculated. Co-pyrolysis of cellulose and heavy paraffin lead to enhanced bio-oil production and reduced yield of gas and char. Moreover, bulk yields of hydrocarbon, aldehyde and acidic groups were increased and formation of of ethers, esters, furans, ketones and saccharides were considerably reduced. The results were attributed to improved hydrogenolysis, hydrogenation, condensation, Diels-Alder, de-esterification, and substitution reactions.
