چکیده مقاله:

IntroductionMusculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are one of the most frequently occurring and costly types of oc : cupational issues affecting perioperative nurses. Several high-risk tasks have been identified in operating room settings, including the following. Lifting and holding legs, arms, head for prepping, Prolonged standing, Holding retractors for extended periods of time, Lifting and carrying supplies/equipment &Pushing, pulling, moving equipment on wheels. This ergonomic study was conducted on posture analysis .of the perioperative nurses in these five conditions Material & MethodsIn this study, 40 perioperative nurses randomly selected who participated in neurosurgical, general, gynecological, orthopedic and urological procedures. Data were gathered by using demographic questionnaire, Nordic Musculoskeletal disorders questionnaire and Quick Exposure Check (QEC) method for assessment of working postures in the four main body areas (Back, Shoulder/ Arm, Wrist/ Hand, Neck).Trials have determined its usability, intra- and inter-observer reliability, and validity which show it is applicable to a wide range of working activities. The indicators were used as a measure to determine the exposure levels and to propose guide priorities for intervention. Data were then analyzed by SPSS soft- .ware version 16 and descriptive and analytical tests were also analyzed at a significance level of 0.05Results Mean of age, work experience and monthly working hours of study subjects was obtained 32±6, 8±5 : years and 174±6 hours, respectively. The results of Nordic questionnaire demonstrated the most prevalent complaint in the lower back (56/8%). A significant difference was observed between weight, BMI, work experience, monthly working hours and the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders (P < 0.05).The QECassessment showed that the highest exposure level was 57% in the first activity, 14% in the second, 71% .in the third, 14% in the fourth and fifth activity among nurses working in orthopedic surgery Conclusion The survey results displayed a major ergonomic problem among the operating room staff in the field of orthopedic surgery and ergonomic interventions to reduce or eliminate undesirable postures seem.necessary
