چکیده مقاله:

In this study, paraffin was impregnated into the expanded perlite (EP) through vacuum uptake to form a composite phase change material (PCM). Then, Paraffin/EP composite coated with a poly (styrene) film by an emulsion polymerization process, to guarantee no leakage. The leakage test has indicated the high-quality effect of the coating film in leakage prevention. The thermal properties were determined by the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). DSC results show that the melting temperatures and latent heat values of the PCM composites are 60.7 °C and 72.67 J/g respectively. It is envisioned that the prepared shape-stabilized PCMs have considerable potential for developing their roles in thermal energy storage in building.
