چکیده مقاله:

The aim of this investigation was to calculate and compare wetability of Sn-37wt%Pb with Sn-3.5wt%Ag in Nanoscale. Also, the effect of temperature on the contact angle of the Sn-37wt%Pb nanodrop and Sn-3.5wt%Ag nanodrop on copper substrate under vacuum were studied using molecular dynamics simulation technique. Murrell- Muttram many body potential was used for force as well as interatomic potential energy calculations. The Nose-Hover thermostat was used for the temperature control and Berendsen barostat for pressure control. The results showed that the contact angle decreased with temperature increase, also this angle was bigger in nanoscale than in macroscale, suggesting that the metallurgical bond formed between the molten solder and a metal substrate is weaker in nanoscale than in macroscale. Moreover, it was observed that wetability of Sn-37wt%Pb is better than Sn-3.5wt%Ag.
