چکیده مقاله:

Electrospinning of polyethylene oxide (PEO) in acetic acid solutions was carried out and the effects of the acetic acid concentration and polymer content as electrospinning parameters on the fibers diameter were investigated. Characterization of nanofibers was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Depending on the conditions, nanofibers with a diameter range of 80-1200 nm were obtained. Our study showed that using higher concentrations of acetic acid and polymer, will lead to nanofibers with larger diameters. The results also showed that the electrospun nanofibers obtained from electrospinning of PEO in acetic acid solutions have better morphologies and less beads in comparison with the electrospun nanofibers obtained from electrospinning of PEO in water in the same conditions.
