چکیده مقاله:

The intrinsically conductive polymers and their composites have a specifically applications due to their good electrical conductivity and also environmental stability. In presen work, the synthesis of the conductive polyaniline and its nanocomposites with clay has been investigated.The conductive polyaniline and PANi-clay nanocomposites can be synthesized by in situ micro-emulsion polymerization reaction in aqueous mediums.The results from FTIR analysis for PANi and their synthesized nanocomposites indicate that the incorporation of SDS surfactant long chains into PANi structure and their nanocomposites. The results from XRD patterns of the PANi-clay nanocomposites prepared in presence of organoclay were shown that the existence of the exfoliated structure in this synthesized nanocomposites. So that the basal spacing according to the Bragg’s law between organoclay galleries which was 1.88 nm, widely increased with formation of the exfoliated structure of nanocomposites and thus no distance between clay galleries was imagine in nanocomposites structure. Therefore, this fact indicated that the irregular dispersion of clay galleries in nanocomposites structures is happened.SEM micrographs of the powder PANi-clay nanocomposites were shown that the polyaniline particles with sizes about 200 to 250 nm have been located around clay aggregates and they have been surrounded bulk like by polyaniline aggregates and this PANi particles have been accumulated around the clay plates. The results from electrochemical impedance measurements for investigation of the corrosion of samples were shown that the corrosion resistance of PANi-clay epoxy resin nanocomposite coatings has been increased to the epoxy resin and PANi-epoxy resin coatings.
