Background: Mental Health is a necessary factor among all workers in order to obtain their activities in the workplaces. Therefore, this research aimed to investigate the Mental Health status of Zahedan welders and identify some related factors.Methods: This cross-sectional study were done at Zahedan city in 2017 and 145 welders were selected by census method. Data were collected by demographic information questionnaire and Goldberg General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28). Then data analyzing were done by descriptive statistics and analytical tests such as One-way ANOVA and T-test, at a significant level of p<0.05 using SPSS 20.Results: The mean of age and work experience in the study population were 33.15±9.28 and 13.48±9.15 years old respectively, and 80.7% of population were married. The prevalence of smoking was 17.9%. The mean score of mental health was different in terms of marital status, BMI, education level and age group, which was also significant in marital status, BMI and educational level (p=0.02, p=0.04 and p=0.001 respectively); But, there was no significant relationship between mean differences by age groups (p=0.60).Conclusion: It was found that the prevalence of mental disorders among welders was high. Obviously, by some intervention such as increasing of social support and more comprehensive studies, can be reached to the better level of mental health among the welders
