چکیده
Objective: Pelvic exenteration as an extensive surgical procedure is standard of care for treatment of recurrent or persistent cervical cancer. This means resection of the intra pelvic organs which are involved by the neoplasm with radical hysterectomy or pelvic exenteration. This is a case series and literature review with the aim of introducing Pelvic exenteration in a low resources country. Case series: we evaluate the morbidity and survival outcome of 7 cases of recurrences (or persistence of cervical cancer) during 2 years) 2016 to 2018 (in the gynecologic oncology department of an academic hospital in Mashhad, Iran. all cases had margin-free resection also minor postoperative morbidity was observed in all patients who were treated; However, recurrence of the disease was not observed in any of the patients. Conclusion. Ultra-radical resection surgery is a potentially curative method with acceptable morbidity and increased survival and could be recommended in developing countries.کلیدواژه ها
