Synthesis of methyl 5-amino-3-arylaminoisoxazole-4-carboxylate Derivatives

We have reported [1-3] that the reaction of diethyl arylthiocarbamoylmalonate (1) with hydroxylamine under reflux conditions afforded 3-arylaminoisoxazol-5(2H)-one derivatives (2). Herein, we describe the synthesis of 5-amino-3-arylaminoisoxazole-4-carboxylates (3) by the reaction of methyl 2-cyano-3-arylamino-3-thioxopropanoates (4) with hydroxylamine in ethanol under reflux conditions. The stractures of isoxazole derivatives were confirmed by 1HNMR, 13CNMR, FT-IR spectral data and microanalysis.
