چکیده مقاله:

In the present work, densities, ρ, for binary mixture of (Dibutylamine+Ethylene glycolmonomethyl ether) have been measured at atmospheric pressure and in the entire compositionrange. This quantity have been used to calculate excess molar volumes, V(E)(m) This excess anddeviation quantity have then been fitted to the Redlich– Kister equation [1]. The obtainedcorrelations were used to calculate the other thermodynamic functions such as thermal expansioncoefficient, α, and its excess value, αE, and isothermal coefficient of excess molar enthalpy(∂H(E)(m) /∂P)T,x. Results of such calculations were used for interpreting intermolecular interactionsthat exist between molecules of the binary mixture, qualitatively. The densities of the purecomponents and their binary mixture were measured with an Anton Paar DMA 4500 OscillatingU-tube densitometer, and the uncertainties were estimated to be within ±1×10−2 kg m−3. Thetemperature in the cell was regulated to ±0.01K with a solid state thermostat Each mixture wasimmediately used, after it was mixed by shaking. All the weightings were performed on anelectronic digital balance (AB 204-N Mettler) accurate to ±0.1 mg. The uncertainty in the molefraction is estimated to be lower than ±1×10−4 [2].The excess molar volumes of binary mixture are negative within the entire compositionrange and become less negative with increasing temperature from (298.15 to 318.15) K. Theincrease in the magnitude of the V(E)(m) values with increasing temperature can be attributed to thedecreasing importance of hydrogen bonding with increasing it. Results of these calculations wereused for interpreting intermolecular interactions that exist between molecules of the binarymixture. If interactions between unlike molecules are stronger than those exist between likemolecules, as a consequence negative V(E)(m) will be observed, other factors that affect the volumeare molecular shape and size of components in the mixture [3].
